To make a long story short, your scenario looks as an example of a
sanity comparing to the routes shown on this map. Unless, of course,
there was a Secret Medieval Chinese Nuclear Submarine (later destroyed
due to the budgetary considerations).

There was a recent finding of a (presumably medieval) towel with a
label 'Made in China; near one of the local geysers..... What othe
proof do you need?

Well, as everybody knows, when Columbus landed in Boston, MA (place is
called 'Columbus Park' after the event and there is a nice little

reasonable conclusion that he found way to India (besides the fact
that a mind of genius quite often works in a non-trivial way, Columbus
