Neither McCain nor Romney will make it to the White House, and either
of them will probably get nominated.

Both are hawks and the great majority of the people have had enough of
Iraq. They certainly will not vote for a candidate who is
enthusiastic about continuing our nation building efforts.

Pity about Ron Paul the most Reganesque of all the candidates. If he
looked like Mitt Bimbo, he would be the next president.

And so much for George W. Bush fashioning himself after Regan in
2000. What a disappointment.

Regan had none of the ego problems W and Cheney have. They REALLY
had a problem with the way Regan cut and run from the Middle East and
Clinton from Somalia. It affects the Perception of Cojones
Department, you see, the most important, unfortunately, for Bush and

Regan was a realist and he knew what was best for the country, and how
sometimes the price was to halt an initiative that was going nowhere,
even if it meant to quit. Not to be seen as quitters is top in our
current leaders' priorities, never mind the price.

Bush and Cheney have said that Regan and Clinton encouraged terrorism
by "quitting."

Far from true, of course. It is true, however, that Bush and Cheney
have brought on what they most feared, and consequently, our enemies
are now more and worse.

The Republicans could have prevailed this year if only Bush had been a
real conservative of fiscal responsibility and as per Buckley's
definition of 'conservative,' a realist.

Regan had a very good idea of what he could accomplish and what the
right price was. For example, he much preferred to see Manuel
Noriega living in luxury in Spain, than sending troops to Panama to
capture him at the cost of American lives and civilian casualties.,
Exactly the price we paid to bring Noriega to justice when Bush Sr.,
former CIA, gave in to his desire to dish out payback to pineapple
face.

Start working on 2012, Mr. Hines, though I doubt the memory of the
latest Republican president will have faded much by then. People
might just begin to realize by then the crimes against humanity he has
committed. I hope he is made to pay for them, somehow, before he
dies.

So you are saying you were wrong not to support President Reagan!

How do you know whether I supported him or not?

I'll take a Republican president over a Democratic one any day as long
as it's not W or W like.

I think Democrats are fools, as well as spineless; they actually
believe that money is best spent at the hands of government, even
AFTER all we know about how government spends our money and how they
manage the national assets, which at best is comparable to a company
heading for Chapter 11.

Government is not like a company, but many of the principles that make
sense for corporations that want to prosper make sense in
government.

And I am not talking about the little niggly mindless spending of ten
million here or an hundred million there for next to nothing, I am
talking about entitlements, the biggest bill of all.
