Nice title Inger. 45 words and 256 characters.
But you forgot to add 'Was: Old Norse texts give new information'

Korrect new title:KRS and Old Norse texts give new informa
Mm, 58 characters, slighty better.
But that 'informa' covers your story very well.
How many times do you think you will change
the subject titel without changing the content?

How many times will you try to avoid presenting valid argument and or contra
arguments?
As you can see one of the main obsticles 7 years back is gone. There were at
least one ship sailing from Norway to Iceland within a year of the time when
Paul Knutsson got his mission. Not only that, comming with that ship to
Iceland was the person who had same mission for Iceland as Ivar Bardson had
for Greenland.
As shown before there were only one lawman mentioned during 1340's to 1360's
staying on Greenland. Same lawman who had been given a mission to see to it
that the Greenlanders under Gardar were faithful to the Papal Church. It's
highly likely that it's the same lawman who Ivar Bardson mentioned in his
book, Paul Knutsson. Thus the two essential persons been shown to have
sailed from Norway to Greenland, probably but not surely via Iceland.
The lawman gave Ivar Bardson the mission to take back the Western Settlement
and to look for the missing settlers of Western Settlement. Ivar Bardson had
been sent by the Bishop of Bergen to collect the tithes so well needed by
King Magnus Eriksson promised by the Pope that the King should be able to
use/borrow for the crusades on the Russians. There had been crusades
eastward from Sweden before and a new was planned after which King Magnus as
early as in 1347 had got the Pope's blessing for a voyage to the Holy Land.
That other things and persons close to St Birgitta made the plans impossible
wasn't on the agenda when Paul Knutsson got his mission.
A sailing Greenland BY means that King Hakon's warfleet passed Greenland.
Due to the Geography this means that either King Hakon had been west of
Greenland and sailed eastward or he sailed from the Atlantic passing
Greenland by on voyage west of Greenland.
Try to find valid arguments against that if you can.
