Since I read Old Norse from my childhood I do doubt that you read half

of


the untranslated Old Norse I have.
My grandmother was Norwegian and I read more Old Norse than Swedish
(including Old Swedish) during summers when I was a child.
up to this day I have easier finding many special words in Norwegian

than in


Swedish. So don't bust so much erilar. You haven't had a chance to

read so


much Old Norse as I have. Not a chance in a million years.

OK, here's a test for both Mary and Inger, a short passage in
non-normalized Old Norse. I will accept a translation into either
English or Swedish. A suitable prize will be awarded to the lady who
produces the most accurate translation:
