So horrible to have to report that the great 'General Wolseley', my
much beloved black lab has gone on to the great battlefields above.
Am in terrible grips of mourning.

Sorry to hear that...
Nothing hurts quite as much..

Actually didn't expect to be so upset over losing an animal. It was
tragic. We have a new puppy, however -another british black lab that my
kids have affectionally called FENRIR (my one son's middle name is TYR)
-called FENN for short. He's eating everything in the house!

Short for Fenris Wolf? He was quite an eater....

My deep condolences on your loss - I know how it feels, believe me! When Willie
thw Whippet died, it made the Death of Little Nell seem like a comedy routine,
agony. To be honest, even the loss of close relatives has been nothing
compared - even ones I liked.

Glad to hear you have got a replacement, never the same, but a great comfort.
Good thing we don't have to do the same with relatives...

Wolseley will be gambolling with Fat Sooks and Willie in doggie Valhalla no
doubt, so don't worry. I'm sure they will get on... and he will like Sookie
especially, she was such a tart!
Cheers
Martin
