descendant of a dialect of Canaanite, NOT as a descendant of
Phoenician, and that Phoenician and Ammonite are likewise descended

You can argue that they are wrong. You can argue that it's a course
with Biblical content and therefore potentially suspect. Both are
entirely possible, but I said I would post what I found. (I will not,
however, be posting anything from openly specialist religious
universities, and will try to keep to a minimum anything from a Jewish
university, because they have a vested interest in the conclusion.
That's the best I can do for filtering.)
