Re: Christianity as a step in a historical process not created by a direct revelation through Jesus

NOBODY you seriously.  You are a joke.

You resort to abuse.

As is commonly known, she was labeled as a crackpot
worldwide because

because she IS a crackpot.

Prove it with appeal to evidence.

My premise all along has been that the Internet offers a
unique opportunity

A unique opportunity for you to spread your crackpot theories.

Bunk. Do you know scholarship or the rules of
scholarly evidence? Answer - evidently not.

So, on June 9 in our thread conversation I gave 3 links
to 3 relevant Thiering articles.  However, either prejudice
or lack of interest reigns so that nobody took the trouble
to examine them.

Your links are all to crackpot theories.  Of COURSE everybody
ignores them!

You don't believe in reality-testing and so just mouth off.
BTW in the world of archaeology no artefacts are found
if the spade does not turn the earth. In the same way,
with your approach you will learn nothing scientific or
technical in this world without examining evidence.
IOW you are prejudiced.

Does it matter?  Yes, it does because evidence was
given that anybody can easily look up and we don't need
a Matt Giwer from the Dark Ages sidetracking my treatment
with nonsense that I was appealing to (crackpot) authority.

But you WERE appealing to crackpot authority!

Bunk. The evidence was there in the links for you
to judge for yourself critically.

The challenge now is for anybody in the whole, wide world
to show a FLAW in the Thiering argument

Typical crackpot claim. You need to show that the theory is
true.  Nobody needs to show that it is false.

I've already done that many times over but people
on the Internet are not scholars who examine
carefully a thesis the conclusions of which have
not been believed for 2000 years. IOW they rarely
read my links to get into any detail whatsoever.
Thus, no productive discussion where the parties
learn from each other in a mutual search for truth.

Got anything Thiering has published in a peer-reviewed
scientific journal?  No?  Bugger off, then.  This is
soc.history.ancient, not alt.crackpot.barbara-thiering.

Your prejudice is showing again. Dead Sea Discoveries
is the top professional journal in its field. I invite you
to study the Thiering articles there. It's a start for you
and would be an eye-opener.

BTW don't communicate with me again on SHA unless
you have something constructive and on topic to
contribute. You could have avoided making a fool
of yourself by coming to grips with the Thiering
argument on Acts 7 and 13.

Whether you agree with her would be up to you, but
by no means would you come away with the impression
that she is crackpot. In fact, she is erudite to the hilt.
I know because I had a 4 year association with her on
the Christian Origins Yahoo Group where I was Moderator.
