fortresses have been found in bibleland. If the number is not a close match
you don't have jack.
That does not answer the mail. You must find walled cities and fortresses in
reasonable number. Does not your own efforts to dodge the issues I raise cause
you to rethink your position in the least?
I'm not dodging anything, unlike you (still no comment about Lachish,
eh?)
That is the number of EXCAVATED walled towns/fortifications to date.
Now what do you expect? Thousands of sites in an area smaller than the
Lake Michigan?
If you knew anything about archaeology, you would know what is
catchment and what it signifies....

LMAO - so any fool can learn to be a doctor without learning from
those who are authorities in medicine? Do you have a clue how silly
your claim is?
I mean as your chosen authority in from the religion department of a
university you have cited what might be an expert in faith but not in science.
Thus your appeal to _religious_ authority shows the fallacious nature of it.
However, if you wish to go into the contents of that website get its
creator(s) here to defend it personally. I will not participate in your
fallacious argumentation.
Mazar is an archaeologist, and not from a religion dept. He is a
professor of Prehistoric Archaeology in the Hebrew University of
Jerusalem.
The site I posted is from a religion dept, but that does not remove
the fact that it presents solid archaeology. I'm using it simply
because I do not want to type everything that is already presented in
it, that would take too much of my time. Now deal with it.

IF you knew what the evidence was THEN you could recite it.Do you think I have the time to list a HUGE number of sites? Stop
being lazy, get off your arse and go look it up yourself.
I think you must have satisfied yourself there are sufficient number as that
is what you have been claiming. So just post from memory.
What do you think I've been doing? I counted Iron I and II walled
sites/fortresses - now what do you want, the list of their names as
well? Go look them up yourself. A simple Google search will do for
you.
If you have not done the exercise for yourself you have no basis for making
the claim these sites exist. You can only say you have read people who say
they exist. That, too, is an appeal to authority.
I'm not a working archaeologist, so no, I have not done any excavating
myself.
Your argument is invalid. What of your claims have you done yourself?
Can you read the LXX in Greek or the Tanakh in Hebrew? If not, then by
your own standards, you are guilty of what you accuse me of. What, if
anything, you have made claims about, have you done by yourself?
In reality, nobody can be an expert in everything, that is why we use
sources. If you have ever read a peer-reviewed article in any
professional journal in any discipline, scholarly or scientific, you
will find a number of references. Now why do you think that might be?
