But we both know that there aren't any such cites, that life
expectancy until modern times never got higher than around
40 years....

If one were to take your assertion seriously then one would expect to find all categories of people to have exactly the same average lifespan. Kings and serfs would be the same. Emperors and Plebes would be the same.

But that has to do with understanding the subject which you clearly cannot.
