Psychopathic, Anti-Social, and Narcissistic Personality Disorders

Anyone that unconscionably creates chaos in order to solicit attention
is a good candidate for one of these disorders. The key to
understanding their true nature is to realize that they consider
themselves to be the center of the universe. The rest of us are merely
objects or things that fill their observable reality. They consider us
as potential food to satisfy whatever their selfish desires are.
They tend to take residence in places that feed them well. Those that
respond to their incitements of anger (or sympathy) are
unintentionally laying out a plate of delicacies (attention) that they
thrive on. They tend to move on when they are no longer fed what they
desire. Even one word of angry or critical response is equivalent to
giving them a plate of ice cream to savor on.
It is estimated that something like 3% of humanity has some form of
these personality disorders. A good place to start in understanding
this psychological phenomenon is with the classic work by Dr. Robert
Hare - "Without Conscience: The Disturbing World of the Psychopaths
among Us".
