Many scholars claim that there was no "Aryan invasion"
of India, that in fact the Indus-Sarasvati civilisation period
which first produced the vedic literature was indigenous
to that river system prior to geological upheaval of the
river's source, confirmed by satellite and geophysical data
to have finally dried up around 1900BC.
This theory concerning the existence and invasion of India
by a nomadic INTELLIGENT race (Aryans) from the north
was a theory first devised by Max Muller (1800's) AFAIK.
What is the status of this Aryan Invasion theory today?
There are clearly two sides to it.
