Even if all these comments were correct -- and the majority are grossly
unscholarly -- it would not demonstrate that "the gospels are not eye
witness accounts". Rubbishing all the data leaves a vaccuum, not a
theory. We all know the debunkers' fallacy, and this as usual relies on
it.

It is amusing to reflect that Irenaeus knew Polycarp, John's disciple
personally; yet for a modern atheist, even this direct evidence is not
enough.

Atheism and obscurantism seem to go hand in hand.
