Vere Gosling identified

George Monckton-Arundell, 8th Viscount /Galway/ , Governor-General of New Zealand 1935-1941
His mother is listed in various sources as Vere Gosling
With a name like that you would think she would stand out in the usual databases but she doesn't.

At her marriage 24 Jul 1879 to the 7th Viscount Galway at St George's Hanover Square, it is stated that her stepfather at that time was John Ramsden, and that Vere's father was "the late" Ellis Gosling of Busbridge Park Godalming Surrey

It is also stated at that time, that Vere was her father's "only daughter", and that her mother "Mrs Ramsden" was then living.

There is no "Vere Gosling" in the 1871 census of England, however there is an Ellis Gosling. It turns out this Ellis is her brother. They are both living as the stepchildren of John Ramsden in Busbridge Parish, in Godalming just as expected. She is at that time indexed as "Vese Gosling" born in Godalming.

Her mother Emma age 32 was born in Newton Kyme.
