Anna comtesse Von Isenburg?

Follow-up on 2010 thread. Again referring to Leo's database, Shawn's
un-sourced reference to Jean de Bassy "notaire juré de Anne, Comtesse von
Isenburg" in 1585 and "receveur de la Châtellerie de Bérus, des Comtes de
Nassau-Katzenelbogen de 1576 à 1597", the mystery can be solved without
recourse to speculation about Jean's mother possibly being Marie Ursule von
Salm, daughter of Count Johann VII von Salm Kyrburg and Countess Anna von
Isenburg Budingen. As Shawn rightly pointed out, Anna would not have been
alive at the time Bassy was acting as her notary. It seems more likely
that the dame in question was Anna Gräfin von Isenburg-Neumagen, who died
sometime after 1573. Her father Salentin VI was son of Gerlach II von
Isenburg-Grenzau and Hildegarde von Sirck born circa 1436, noting that
Johann von Bassy was actually married to an unknown de Sierck dame, "fille
de Philippe, seigneur de Larochette et de Schengen (Luxembourg) sans
descendance". Moreover, also with regard to Bassy's alleged Luxembourg
connections, this Anna was also married secondly to Johann van der Leyen,
Governor de Luxembourg. The other chronologically possible explanation
would be Anna of Nassau-Dillenburg (1541-1616), but this hypothesis must
again be rejected for obvious reasons.--
