Perhaps this is merely a semantic argument - Benjamin Wellington was a
grandson of Dr. Richard Palgrave, who, last time I checked, was still
acknowledged as a 'gateway' with quite a bit of traceable medieval
ancestry. So perhaps it would be more precise to identify Richard, an
immigrant, as the gateway rather than his grandson, but this does not
mean Benjamin was *not* a gateway.
