There is currently no such list, though it's a good idea. Here's an
interim solution, of sorts: just run the prospective "gateway" past me,
and I'll let you know the apparent status (good, bad, unknown, hopeful,
whatever) of that person. It has usually been the RBs' policy to vet
that key information before encouraging prospective applicants to
prepare and submit their papers.
Mine are William Ironmonger and Rev. Robert Rose of VA.
Ironmonger goes to ... William the Conqueror and would have
a royal *** only before that.
Rose goes to Edward III, through Grant of Ballindalloch,
and the real proof of one connection lies only in a grant
of arms stating that somebody was "younger of Ballindalloch";
there really is only one possible person meant, and the
contemporary documents agree just fine. The connect is not
published, though I described it on s.g.m.. It also goes
to Robert III, and through Rose of Kilravock to Robert II
(of Scotland).
