It is indeed rubbish. Why should a letter to an English king be
sought in Germany? It's in England, where you'd expect it to be: in
the British Library, Cotton MSS, Vit. shelf E vol. 10, p 81b.

I don't propose to spoon-feed the copyist/troll Richardson as he
squirms and madly deletes his error-ridden posts, but perhaps it is
interesting to note the date on the accompanying letter of Prince
Louis of the Palatinate to his father-in-law the King, providing
details of the events in question [Cotton MSS, Vit. shelf E. vol. 10,
p 80b]

It is dated the 4th of June millesimo cccc nono.

This is exactly the kind of unscholarly blunder that occurs when
second-rate copyists pretending to be researchers rely on secondary
sources and fail to check the primary material available.

How embarrassing.
