Stirnet - soon to be pay-to-view

According to an announcement on the Stirnet genealogy site (www.stirnet.com), by the end of September (possibly sooner, after a "trial period") it will become a pay-to-view site. Rates for viewing (after the trial) are announced to be 5 pounds per week, 12.50 per month, 25 per quarter, 52 per year. Seems a bit pricy, especially for the shorter periods....wonder if it will be worth it....

Also, it would behoove potential subscribers to read about Stirnet's use of PayPal for payments, especially if you're paying in currency other than pounds sterling. Caveat emptor....
