What is meant by "nature of kinship among high born medieval European families."?This post is part of a systematic, exhaustive study into the nature of
kinship among high born medieval European families.

Nature of kinship? Low born medieval families were related to them as well. Some of the 'high born' families descended from 'low born' or illegitimacy produced 'low born' closely related to 'high born'.
Personally I find the genealogical links between countries much more interesting, never mind whether they are 'high born' or 'low born'.
Best wishes
