According to Faris: " Plantagenet Ancestry 17th century colonist"
William Blount was son of Walter Blount.Lord Mountjoy of Elvaston, Derby
by wife Ellen, daughter of John Bryron . He was heir apparent but he
died from wounds at battle of Barnet in 1471. His father Lord Mountjoy
died 1474 and then the son of William, Edward Blount became the 2nd Lord
Mountjoy
