A licence from the Pope was obtained in 1467 for her to be married to Peter
Legh of Lyme, but in 1469 a dispensation was granted from the same Pope
because she was married at that time to Piers Warburton to whom she was related in
the third degree. Piers Warburton had renounced his first wife, Elizabeth
Maynwaring of Over Peover, and she was alive during his marriage to Ellen
Savage.
