Dear Clive,
RE: Feb. 6 mail on Jewish Gen-- you have to be resourceful. I have
gparents buried on the Mt. of Olives and the Hevra Kadisha burial
society has an online website you can explore. They guided me to the
burial site.
I live in Israel and since the subjects were my gparents, I was able
to apply to the Interior Ministry branch office near my home and get
the Hebrew death certificates. This is how I learned about many of my
Israel cousins so it was very valuable.
Try first to look up the burial society (there is a list in the
genealogy sources) and write or call them during business hours. They
also speak English, but so-so.
