My father left Russia from Germany in August, 1914.
He was aboard a ship [I assume, German but don't know for certain] on the day that WW1 broke out. He and all passengers were transferred from that ship to another.
I don't know the name of the first ship?
I don't know the name of the second ship?
I don't know which German port he left from?
What port the ship arrived?
How long a trip would take?
Is there anyone else who has the same problem with a family member?
I would appreciate any advice.
Thank you
Sallie Posniak
