I would be very grateful for any suggestions as to how I can find records of the arrival, marriage and death in South Africa of my husband's great-aunt, Hilda Carmen (or Carmain) MAX, who went to Johannesburg by herself (don't know why!) and was married after 1905 (the date on a photograph sent back to her family in Australia with her maiden name) to a (presumably) non-Jewish man named William Augustus Francis RECKENBERG. She was still living in 1948 (mentioned in her aunt's Will). As far as we know, she had no children. Couldn't find her burial record in Jewish sources.
