About 5 years ago, I was asked to investigate this Phillips family by a descendant who worked at the same place I did (JPL). My husband's name is also Phillips and she thought they might be related. I looked into it but couldn't find any connection. She said the original name was possibly Fillipower. As I recall, there were two brothers - Moses and Henry, who was her grandfather. Before founding the shirt company, Moses was a rabbi in Pottsville, Pa. I have also collected some census records of this family. Maybe we can exchange information. What is your connection?
