I put together all the information I have about all the people with my grandmother's maiden name and sent it to all the other researchers with whom I have exchanged information over the years. The columns are Standard (a standard spelling of Jewish names), Name (the last comma first name as it appears in each record), Patronymic (given in the form father ben grandfather where possible), Comments (each researcher can initial and enter theories and questions here), birthyear (with a second column to indicate approximate), birth country, birth place (City, state,
gubernia, etc.), deathyear (with a second column to indicate approximate), death country, death place (City, state, gubernia, etc.). I was able to eliminate a lot of duplicates and make corrections even from my own work. I assume that as the analyses come in from my presumed cousins comes in, we will get even more accurate.Thiis method may be useful for other people searching uncommon last names.
