Commemoration re Litzmannstadt Ghetto end of August in Lodz

X-No-archive: yes
The 65th Anniversary of the Liquidation of the Litzmannstadt
Ghetto by German Authorities is being held in Lodz August
27-29. Read more about on the LARG Website at
http://www.shtetlinks.jewishgen.org/lodz/LARG.htm
Click on the link on the home page for details and information
about registering. Once you register online, you will be able
to view the program that also includes events occurring prior
to Aug 27th.

If your family lived in nearby communities prior to the war,
it is very likely they were in the Lodz Ghetto during the
Holocaust. Jews were brought to the Lodz Ghetto from all
over Poland and even other countries.

If you plan to attend, please consider writing your
impressions and/or taking photos for the Lodz/LARG websites.
Thanks.

I attended the 60th Commemoration which was very moving and
informative. If you plan to travel to Lodz sometime in the
future, consider going during this event.

Regards,
Roni
