"All European Life Died in Auschwitz -- by Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez

X-No-archive: yes
Is anyone familiar with the brief article by Spanish writer Sebastian
Vilar Rodrigez "All European Life Died in Auschwitz" published
in a Spanish newspaper, possibly (but probably not) on May 22 2007.

It is a brief but masterful summary of what the massive extermination
of Europe's Jews has resulted in a cultural, intellectual, economic,
spiritual and moral loss for Europe.

I want to include it as a preface to a brief genealogical summary of a
section of my family's history and seek to get the author's permission
(and pay him royalties. A google search so far has brought up hundreds
of citations, but none can accurately direct me to the author or the
publication and I'm beginning to fear that the entire article may be an
urban myth.

If anyone is familiar with an early source or translation, please let me
know.

Many thanks and Shabbat Shalom and Happy 2009
