Puzzle finding New York passenger list for family's arrival

X-No-archive: yes
I believe I have found the listing of my great-grandfather and his
family on a Hamburg passenger manifest. In particular on the list for
the ship the Columbia that left Hamburg on 11 July 1901 bound for
New York. I found an entry for the following 3 passengers:

- Josepf WILIAN age 53
- Chaya WILIAN age 51
- Zeik WILIAN age 10

The family came from Wilkomir (i.e. Ukmerge) Lithuania. There were
also 5 other passengers from a second Wilkomir family (with surname KIRS)
traveling with them who may have been family members. However my interest
is in the WILIAN family.

The image of the Hamburg passenger manifest can be found at:

The two families can be seen in the bottom 8 lines of the image.

The puzzle is that I can't find either of these families listed in the
Ellis Island passenger record for the same ship the Columbia,
which arrived in New York on July 17 1901. I have searched for them
without success using both the Steve Morse gold search form (using
many surname variants) as well as by examining the passenger arrival
list for this ship page by page.

In fact I couldn't find in the New York manifest any of the other
passengers listed on the same page of the Hamburg manifest either!

(It's also possible that the WILIAN family may have been listed with the
surname "WILLIAM" or "WILLIAMS" on the New York arrival form since
this is the name that the rest of the family was using in the USA.
However I couldn't find them under this name either.)

Does anyone have any ideas for how I could solve this puzzle and find
this WILIAN/WILLIAMS family's New York arrival manifest?

Thanks for any suggestions.
