People are needed who can help translate burial
records from Iasi Romania from 1883 to 1917. These
records are entirely in Hebrew. They contain names,
names of mothers and fathers, dates, sometimes causes
of death, notations whether the individual died in a
hospital, and always the age of the deceased. The
location of the graves is also listed.
Help is also needed for the 1939-66 records for
women's burials and the 1915-43 records for both men
and women. These records can be done by people who
know a minimal amount of Romania and Hebrew (mostly
dates). The information in these records is mostly
names, and location of the graves.
Please contact me at robertw252@xxxxxxx if you are
willing to help translate the records. Please indicate
if you can translate the Hebrew or the Romanian
records.
