Question about obtaining NY Times on-line

I joined the NY Gen. & Biog. Society to get on-line access to the NY Times
database. The society dropped that relationship with the NY Times. Then my local
library (thro the county) had the on-line Times until last week :-(. They claimed
budget cuts. Any ideas where to turn to get the Times on-line at the bets rate if
needs be?
