I received the following e-mail which may help other reseachers:

Dear Allan Dolgow,
We would like to inform you that the Lithuanian State Historical Archives keeps
the vital (birth, marriage and death) records of the different Lithuanian Jewish
communities, dating up to 1940 (if the documents were not destroyed during wars
and fires).

Until 1918 Volozhin was the place in the Oshmiany district of former Vilno
gubernia [Vilnius province]. At present time Volozhin is the place in Belarus.
Unfortunately we are not able to be assisting you in your matter, as our archive
has not received any vital records of Volozhin Jewish Community for keeping.
