I don't know if there's a map that does exactly what you want, but
there's a good map of Galicia from 1882 at
http://feefhs.org/maps/ah/ah-galic.html.

Roughly between Auschwitz, Poland and Brody, Ukraine

use http://maps.google.com next to the above map.
