english translation needed from viewmate
Come to the
27th IAJGS International Conference
on Jewish Genealogy
Salt Lake City July 15-20, 2007 www.slc2007.org
I have posted here a few pages out of my grandfathers Milton FAIKES's passport of
1932. I would like some english translations on the hand wriiten writing on the
pages I posted VM10214-VM10215 & VM10221-VM10222. I would appreciate any and all
help in this. Also if anyone out there has any connections to this family please
let me know. One thing I am still confused on is whether my grandfather was from
Poland or from Russia, because of the border changes. I would love to contact
the right agency to find records, but i need to be sure where my grandfather was
born. According to his naturalization papers it says he was born in Brest-Litovsk,
Russia. My grandfather always says hewas from Poland. he is about 94 years of age
and lives in a nursing home and his memory is no longer good, so I can't ask him
questions about his past. Any help with the writing might give me some clues.
MODERATOR NOTE: When posting viewmate images, please include the language in the
image (if it includes writing) in the subject line so that fellow Genners can help
more easily. Please reply privately to Sarah Greenberg.
