Leo (probably Leivik) CHAIKIN b. 1850s-1860s was married twice and had
children from both marriages (perhaps 10-12 total). I have identified all
of the children from the second marriage and one from the first marriage.
However, I am currently unable to go any further. Leo died in Ukraine. The
family was from Priluki or Poltava in the Ukraine. Other cities of
interest are Romny, Snovsk, Miturko in the Ukraine. I don't know how many
of the family came to the US. Using Ellis Island records and Census records
I have identified some Chaikins of interest. If any researchers have any of
the Chaikins listed below on their family trees, please contact me
privately.

Frank HOFFMAN on 187 Olive ?St.. NY; Hoffman in 1900 was living w/wife Becky on
8th St. NY; 1910 in Bklyn

2. Roche CHAIKIN b. abt. 1881 with Abraham 7 & Bashe 3 traveling from
Priluki 1/27/1906 going to husb S. CHAIKEN on 18 Moore St. in Bklyn

3. Liuba CHAJKIN b. abt. 1885 in Priluki traveling from Priluki 10/31/1911
going to cousin B. CHUDNOWSKI & wife 102 Rivington St. in Bklyn Left behind
father Benjamin Chaikin in Priluki

4. Zipe or Ziwje (Sophie) Chaikin b. abt. 1866 in Osarowna with Broche
(Rebecca) 19, Basse (Bessie) & Scholem (Samuel)b. 11/1899 family traveling
from Chernigov 10/13/1910 going to husb. Meyer Chaikin at 651 Stone Ave. in
Bklyn c/o Willner Left behind brother Berk Schaforiva ? in Snovsk, Chernigov
gubernia Moses Willner lived at 604 Stone Ave. in 1910

8. Israel ZAIKIN b. abt. 1887 traveling from Priluki 1906 going to brother

9. Lube Chaikin traveling from Poltava 9/19/1907 going to Philadelphia
cousin Schmuel Reznizki from Chicago Left behind father Leiser Chaikin in
