The question of how to locate a local newspaper seems to come up periodically on JewishGen.

One excellent source is the multi-volume "Gale Directory of Publications...", available at most Public Libraries. Ask the Reference Librarian for assistance! Newpapers and journals are listed by State alphabetically, and then by town alphabetically within the state. You will find out the address, phone and/or fax number, and in many cases an email adress, to enable you to contact them.
