I would like to gauge the level of interest in forming a Danzig/Gdansk Research
Group, the main purposes of which would be to acquire and improve access to
genealogical material that survives from Danzig, such as parts of the enormous
Danzig Community Archives at the Central Archives for the History of the Jewish
People in Jerusalem, LDS microfilms, Gdansk PSA holdings, and published histories.
If you would be interested in joining such a group (at least to read the emails,
not necessarily to commit any financial support to research projects), or if you
have relevant comments on this subject, please contact me privately. I am not an
expert on Danzig records or families, so please do not ask me where to find
information about your family.
