Don,
I agree partly with both "Sherlock" and Carmel's previous posting. You did
give much too little information for anyone to help you.
You also risked antagonising the majority of the Group by saying "anyone who
can supply me this info"
You should have said "anyone who can help me find this info for myself"
However, like carmel I have some sympathy for you, so I copy below a posting
I sent some time back which might be useful-
and points out that County Genealogical Centres should not be ruled out as
"exorbitant"
------------------------------
Can I add a few notes to clarify things for those total beginners out there
who will be discouraged by reading some of the above postings.
The famous fire in the Four Courts did not destroy ALL records.
Neither is it true to say that records are not computerised.
However it is true to say that the records which are computerised are not
available online, except for Griffiths Valuation, which is a useful source
for heads of household around 1850, and also links to maps showing exact
location of each house.
The records which are computerised, but for which the computer index is only
available through the County Genealogy Centres are mainly the Church baptism
and marriage records for c. 1800 - 1900 and the 1901 census.
You have to pay to get look-ups of these computer indexes, but you do not
have to pay for the records themselves (if you can visit Dublin, or access
to LDS), the
Baptism/marriage records are available free at National Library (and on LDS
microfilm) and the 1901
census is free at National Archives.
I dont know what the other various County Centres charge, but Kildare
charged me 45 euro to look up 7 individuals and for this listed out c.20
marriage/baptism records for these individuals and their siblings, plus
references in Griffiths & Tithes plus advice and comments, plus a 30 minute
conversation at no charge.
So dont be put off. It may be frustrating that records are not online, but
in my experience the County centres offer an expert and good value service.

I have records showing that a James Henery and Catherine Henery were
Son and Daughter of James Henery and Jane Brown.
James and Catherine were born in Sligo Ireland about the mid 1800's
and I have been unable to find the parents of James Henery and Jane
Brown.
I would appreciate any advice from anyone who can supply me with this
imformation.
Regards
Don Henry
