Sir Crispers, as ever your posts are historically impeccable. Sadly
though I fear your grandpater may be a charlatan. The Constabulary
Medal was never engraved on the rim and no bar was ever awarded to an
Officer. This faux pas probably passed unnoticed though at the Kildare
Club.
