Thanks Joe. I tried writing letters about 10 years ago and never got
any replies. I even had them written in German. Oh, well, hopefully
something will come along.

Sorry about that. I have written countless letters in the past, and had every one of them answered. Can't figure out what I must be doing right.

I was on the Internet yesterday with a German Pessara, using my new webcam our daughter gave us for Christmas. Spoke for an hour, both of us sometimes in German, sometimes in English. She had seen my posts on the genealogy news groups, and had tracked me down, plowing through 3 changes in email addresses. Husband's family had come from same general area in old East Prussia where my grandfather came from. We have been corresponding for awhile, and seeing and talking to each other was a great fun time. Needless to say, we laughed a lot at our attempts to be made understood. My German is rusty. Guess we just need to see if we can save some money, and make another visit to Germany.
