Why only 7?

Unless "german ancestry" is restricted to immigrants for economical
motives, all the american presidents with royal ancestry have german
ancestors and I am sure others also have. I have never been interested
in american presidents but I remember that at least Thomas Jefferson,
3rd president has ancestors from Augsburg in Bavaria (see Gary Boyd
Roberts in his ancestors of USA presidents).
Nr. 125 in Jefferson's "ahnentafel" is Susan Hechstetter, of Keswick,
Cumberland, dau. of Daniel Höchstetter an engineer of one of the 3
richest families of Augsburg, who moved to Cumberland with a few
hundred employees to exploit copper mines.
