Re: GEN-DE SS Ems 1885 Need Help

Hi Marge:

I've check the passenger list on Ancestry.com. The writing is terrible but this is what the transcriber has deciphered as their names:

LI # 5 - Kathern Griesmer - age 52, German
LI #6 - Margarette Fripp - age 5, German
LI #7 - Adam Grismer - age 30, American - farmer
LI #8 - Carl Heydorn, age 25, American - farmer

If you'd like a scan of this information, I'd be glad to send it to you, off-list.

Subject: GEN-DE SS Ems 1885 Need Help

My grandfather, Adam Grismer, arrived in New York February 14, 1885 on board the SS Ems. There were three other people with him from the same town, Bobenthal. His name is on line 7 but I need help figuring out what the names are on lines 5, 6, and 8.

The list can be seen at the following:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ghosthunter/History/grismer_ems.htm

I would appreciate someone taking a look to see if they can figure out the other three names.
Thank you for any assistance you can give me.
Marge
