I have no personal experience, but I know that some higher-end Nikon
cameras - D300, D700, D2X, D2H, D3 - can, with an appropriate GPS device
and (maybe) cable, geotag images as you take them. Sony has a gadget for
their cameras - maybe not just dSLRs? - and Canon also has a method for
having their cameras talk to a GPS unit.
With the rate that GPS units are coming down in price, I wouldn't be
surprised to start seeing GPS built into less-expensive cameras in the
not-too-distant future if it hasn't already started.
