Hi:
I hope this will be appropriate for the newsgroup...
I published recently the French version of my database on a CD-ROM
and I am now preparing the English version. I made a first draft
that can be viewed from
http://www.francogene.com/genealogy/gfna.php (CD-ROM overall)
http://www.francogene.com/gfna/ (database overall,
and later will be my web site presentation)
I would like to get your feedback to improve the quality of my
English. I know my style is poor and my grammar needs improvement,
but I don't know how to do that.
Also, the CD-ROM is working like a web site. Actually, it is the same
software I use to generate the content (with some switches to select
the years, the language and the file names). I would like to have it
autorunning. I read software that I only had to have some autorun
file with start index.htm in it. I did so with no result. I read later that I have to install some start.exe program. Isn't it
possible to do that with a batch file ?
Denis
2 files:
autorun.inf which contains this:
[autorun]
open=go.bat
and a file go.bat of one line
start index.htm
index.htm is your opening file, of course.
That's all. You will get the ugly DOS window for a moment, but there is no way to avoid that without paying for a special bit of software.
