Re: relative does not want information listed in reports



Thank you to everyone for your comments, both positive and negative: it is
by this hearty discussion that we all learn and form healthy opinions.

In answer to some inquiries, I am using Legacy 6 Deluxe to compile data, and
"The Next Generation" site building software. It appears that TNG will give
me better options to "turn on" or "turn off" sensitive information.

FYI, with 65,000+ names in the database, with Legacy, if you use global
filtering for living people (where a person is then identified simply as
"Living Person"), your GEDCOM output will not import into TNG (or other
programs): this result is that 30,000+ are "Living Person", and 2 with the
same birth date are considered errors, and both are deleted. The result is a
mess of broken links.
