I suppose what I'm getting at is that I want a program that can
contain data on John and both his parents, but in reports and trees
will only show his parent(s) if there is a source that proves the
link to that parent.
Sorry if I appear to be making rather heavy weather of this.
The Master Genealogist (TMG; http://whollygenes.com/) allows you to
indicate a source for relationships as well as for other facts. TMG also
has a UK edition.
