I went to have a look at the website, as promoted by the LostCousins newsletter, and signed up to be told about developments. It's being run - clearly as a commercial enterprise - by brightsolid, the company behind FindMyPast.

I received "issue 1" today (the word "newsletter" isn't used AFAICS) - BUT IT CONTAINS NO UNSUBSCRIBE INSTRUCTIONS. Just thought I'd share that fact.

Thanks to Martin James, I've now looked again at my email: it came as a plain text and an HTML version, and I looked at the plain text one. It (the plain text ones) has lots of links in it. I have now looked at the HTML version, and found it has three more than the plain text version - one to 'Saved by her corset', one to 'old newspaper illustration of Queen Victoria', and the text "If you no longer wish to receive this type of email please unsubscribe here", which was totally absent from the plain text version.
