Trying to help I googled jj van der Gouwe and Liverpool and came
across an answer to your previous posting on groningen-genealogy which
stated that
Re: Actual Death Certificate Info For Hidde Rolf Van Der Bos
J.J. Van der Gouwe is listed as Jacobus J. Vandergow in
freebmd.rootsweb.com.
He died dec. 1885, age 63, in Liverpool.
He's also in the 1871 census in Lancashire. He is listed as born in
the
Netherlands. If you have access to www.ancestry.uk.com you can check
if he was
married and look for other details.

In 1869 Liverpool directory he is listed as a stevedore [from
Ancestry]
in 1871 census he is a stevedore with a dutch wife, Mary, and his
dutch nephew Cornelius Schroeder? aged 24 also a stevedore and two
visitors, one male, one female, both dutch. Address is 58 plumber
street, the same as in the directory.
In 1891 census Mary van der Gowe is a boarder, widow, also in
Liverpool, living on own means.
Perhaps there was a dutch church in Liverpool? What was his religion?
I ask this because there are specific Norwegian churches in Swansea
and Cardiff which catered for seamen.
Hope you are successful in you search this time
