The first casualty of next month's 2011 census could be the secret
identities of Britain's top spies - not to mention the location of senior
police officers, judges and intelligence eavesdroppers as well.

This follows a release from the Official of National Statistics (ONS) last
week, reminding all UK employees that they will need to provide their
workplace postcode, and encouraging employers to make sure that this
information is readily available.

I strongly suspect that the ONS will not take the trouble to check
that the post-code I give as that of my workplace is in fact correct -
they would have to check every such postcode and how would they know
what was correct or not - not something spooks and judges et al need
worry about methinks


Since the information isn't going to be published for 100 years this seems
to be a typical Register non story.

They seem to be suggesting the some of the information might be available to government departments even if partially anonymised.
