And you seem to forget that most of Roy's post consisted of
excellent advice which all beginners would do well to follow.
I agree with you and with Roy.
There is nothing wrong with a query from a beginner saying "could you point me to good sources for a beginner researching in this area?"
But this query simply said "I would like to trace my family history with particular links to Cambuslang -Rutherglen area , please > "
Please - what?
It was totally "meaningless"
It is also interesting to see the absence of thanks from the OP to those (including Roy) who did offer constructive advice.
